It isn't really a snow day.  We had about three inches of snow on Monday night, Tuesday morning, and today is the first day that I got out of the house, except for the mail.

 

Well, I'm going to volunteer at the Salvation Army today.  The volunteer co-ordinator called me, and said they had a bunch of racks that had to be put up.  So, what can I say.

 

Not doing a whole lot now.  There are at least 20 openings for next year for a math teacher in the state, and it isn't even February.  I don't know what I am going to do for my future.  I keep having dreams of Breckenridge, and of all the small towns I have taught in.

 

I should be out walking or doing something, but I am eating rather healthy.  I went to Aldi's and got a bunch of rolls of ground turkey, and that is the most meat I am going to eat.  Maybe when it warms up, I will get out and about.

Hello, everybody.

Happy new year

Well, this is my first blog after Christmas.  I told people not to buy for me, because I wasn't buying for them and they listened.  My friend and his wife bought me a shirt, and my sister loaned me $20 to buy some gas, and that was about it.  But then that was more than I bought for.  Christmas comes at such a bad time, with personal property taxes due, and high heating bills.    But, I try to make up for it the rest of the year.

 

My nephew's son really made out like a bandit.  He got toys from his side of the family, and his mom's.  He got the movie Ironman, which I would like to see, and Horton Hears a Who, which I'm not sure of.  But, Christmas is for kids, after all.

 

I check Mindsay virtually every day at home.  I can even blog there, but every thirty to 120 seconds an annoying virus kicks in, which pops up a Vista Virus thing that I can remove with two or three clicks of the mouse, but it is just so irritating.  I might have my sister over to clean it off, but then she will complain about my housekeeping, which isn't as good as in my younger days, but then, I didn't have as much stuff.

 

I've almost decided just to stay on my disability, and substitute a little.  My application is still at home, and I need to turn it it, because I have lived here almost two years without subbing.  But, of course, that would mean waking up before eleven, or one thirty as today.  But, I could do it.  I just couldn't watch the nightly yuckmeisters such as Leno, Letterman, and Conan every night.

Well, it is the day before the day before Christmas, and since the library is closed, I thought that I would blog for Christmas. I put out a little thankfulness for what I have on the end of one of Sandyquill's blogs. It was about three or four days ago.

Well, not a whole lot has been happening. A lot of teaching jobs for next year are starting to open up, I just don't know if I want to take one. Who knows maybe my dating life will change in the next few months, and I might find someone here in town that I might like. Who knows?

I don't know what I'll do on the 25th. I might go to my brother's or sister's, I'll just have to see. Or I just might get a couple of books, and read all day. It is a toss up.

Well, I made over $90 ringing for the Salvation Army yesterday. I got one Jackson, and three Lincolns, and the rest Washington's, and a heapload of coinage. I'm going today from 4 to 6 at Wally World, the best site for collecting. We might even collect after Christmas, it is up to the captain.
